In it’s original state this bathroom was very outdated and, as the most used bathroom in the house, was a constant reminder of the home’s age.
After enlisting the help of Edje construction and a cabinet maker for custom vanity and shelving, this room was barely recognizable. The originally cramped bathroom space with tub, vanity and toilet, was relocated from the back of the room, and replaced with a laundry section, which was originally at the front. The original layout forced the homeowners to walk through the least used section of the room every time they needed to get to the actual bathroom section, and placed the frequently used facilities in a cramped space while the laundry part enjoyed spaciousness.
After removing the tub, tile, drywall and all other components down to the studs, the real fun began. The Edje crew did a full rehaul, installing new plumbing, lights, drywall and hardy board. The tub was not only relocated but changed to a standing shower with beautiful tile work, and a very modern and luxurious shower fixture. Walls were amended to accommodate a pocket door to separate the two spaces (laundry and bathroom) and the pocket door was installed.
All components were installed with extreme care and attention to detail, from the tile, to the towel bars, to the trim, to achieve a result that delighted our clients, and continues to delight them with every use.
